From your head, into your heart: creative transformation in Spain
Where thirty years of graphic design expertise, intuitive fine art, and healing women’s circles seamlessly intertwine in the serene Lecrín Valley.
My artworks are tender, intuitive explorations of the female nude. I prefer to work with natural materials and layered techniques: Indian ink, graphite, charcoal, old book pages, and gold leaf. On paper, wood, or canvas. Each material tells its own story.
“My work is an expression of feeling, of raw emotion and quiet beauty. An intuitive translation that touches the viewer, often wordlessly, but deep within.”
I know the depth of these materials, just as I know the dynamic of a demanding creative life. For nearly thirty years in the Netherlands, my life revolved around tight deadlines, conceptual thinking, and visual strategy for my own design agencies. Even now, I still love returning to my screens each year to design a magazine and an annual report for charity. I know exactly what it feels like to live entirely from the head, to control, and to perform.
But here, in the stillness and the intense light of Andalusia, the circle comes together. Today, I no longer use my academic background and decades of design experience just for commercial purposes, but to guide you from your head into your heart. I use my eye for harmony, form, and layering to build a safe haven. A place where your inner critic falls silent, and your own, untouched inner gold can finally shine again.
